Jacobs, Theo Joan Anton
(Blaricum/the Netherlands, February 9th, 1926 -
Apeldoorn/the Netherlands , April 7th, 2016)

February 23rd, 1950; Korporaal Oorlogsvrijwilliger
"Has decorated himself by brave action against the enemy on November 26th, 1947, when serving as a medic, during the execution of an assault on the headquarters of a gang of terrorists at Toempang (near Malang, Eastern Java), when a Bren gunner of the forward section was seriously wounded, at the first call for medical attention, in spite of having any cover against the heavy enemy automatic and rifle fire, rushing, without fear, forward for a distance of 70 metres, crossing a demolished bridge and attending to the heavy wounded man on the spot. In this acting, besides dares, has also shown high feeling of duty and sacrifice."
