(Service number: 14 074 083) Savannah-Georgia/United States, February 24th, 1918 - Cherbourg-Normandy/France, June 12th, 1944)		June 12th, 1944; Private, Company B, 1st Battalion, 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment "For military merit and for wounds received which resulted in his death when he was killed while his Battalion was advancing on Carentan, France. " Awarded posthumously.
