Unknown; Staff Sergeant, Headquarters and Service Company, 6th Marine Regiment, U.S. Marine Corps "For
meritorious service while serving with Headquarters and Service
Company, Sixth Marines, Second Marine Division, in action against enemy
Japanese forces in the Solomon, Gilbert and Marianas Islands, from 4
January 1943 to 9 July 1944. Participating in these three major
campaigns during this period, Staff Sergeant Bagley efficiently
performed his duties and contributed materially to the success achieved
by his unit. His conduct and devotion to duty in the face of enemy fire
were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval
Service."
