"For
decorating himself by excellent deeds of courage, merit and loyalty: He
has, on August 29th, 1946 near kampong Gondang (East-Java) as commander
of an automatis rifleteam, in an exemplary and bold manner attacked and
conquered an enemy defensive objective.
In the fighting that occured, during which he found himself in life
threatening situations several times, he showed such a great courage
and tact, that he and his men could enter the defended area, were able
to destroy the guerrilla's that were weaponed with a 12.7 mm machinegun
and managed to capture weapons and munition"
